Jamie Webster

Jamie is a Partner and Director at BCG's Center for Energy Impact where he serves as the COO. He joined BCG in 2016 as an expert in energy markets and geopolitics to include market issues in the time of the energy transition. This expertise extends to OPEC analysis and energy policy. He is a former non-resident fellow at Columbia's Center on Global Energy Policy and currently a fellow at the Global Center on Energy Analysis.

He leads Macrotrends and Risk at BCG's Energy practice, serving  energy C-suite clients as they develop and refine their strategy. This includes:

•The long-term re-emergence of geopolitics

•The growing role of natural gas in energy demand

•Scenarios and future states of energy and the key uncertainties

•Energy market dynamics at both the global and national levels

The founder of BCG's Energy Economist Forum, a gathering of the top Chief economists of energy companies to discuss evolving issues of interest as well as improving the quality of the output and interaction of this function with the rest of the organization.

Prior to joining BCG, Jamie worked at IHS as a Vice President where he led the oil markets and scenarios capability with a geographically dispersed team of 20+. Before IHS, Jamie was a Director at PFC Energy, where he managed the company’s oil market analysis and long-term energy scenarios.

He has testified 6 times to both houses of the US Congress on issues related to energy security, the impact of US shale on global markets, and geopolitics, as well as advising Administrations from both sides of the aisle.
