Eduardo Hernandez
Eduardo Hernández is a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in medium-voltage electrical infrastructure, grid expansion, and renewable energy integration. With more than 20 years of professional experience, including over 12 years in the utility sector, he has led the engineering design and technical supervision of medium-voltage interconnection projects supporting commercial, industrial, and critical infrastructure, representing more than 15 MVA of new connected demand each year.
His experience includes the electrical infrastructure supporting the National Hospital of Malacatán, a regional healthcare facility serving approximately 60,000 patients annually.
In the renewable energy sector, Eduardo has led the interconnection engineering for more than 30 MW of utility-scale solar generation integrated into Guatemala's National Interconnected System and is currently directing the engineering of an additional 50 MW of solar capacity scheduled for integration during 2026.
Eduardo holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's degree in Project Management. His professional interests include grid modernization, renewable energy integration, and the development of resilient electrical infrastructure.
